Inter Milan will reportedly face Atalanta on Sunday without experienced defenders Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian.
According to Sky Sport via FCInter1908, the Italian duo will not feature for the Nerazzurri until 2026.
Francesco Acerbi last appeared in Inter’s 4-0 home thumping of Serie A top-six hopefuls Como at the start of December.
However, he missed Inter’s last league match against Genoa.
Furthermore, he wasn’t part of the traveling squad that faltered in Saudi Arabia last Friday.
And he won’t be ready for Inter’s upcoming trip to Bergamo, meaning Yann Bisseck is likely to start at the back.
Matteo Darmian has been in the pits since late September.
Indeed, the 36-year-old suffered a nasty calf injury during Inter’s 3-0 rout of Slavia Prague in the Champions League.
Despite recently returning to partial training, the former AC Milan star has yet to regain full fitness.
Though Cristian Chivu included him in his Supercoppa Italiana squad, Darmian watched Inter’s shocking loss to Bologna from the bench.
