Reports in Italy claim that Atletico Madrid have increased their offer to Milan for full-back Theo Hernandez, who is increasingly likely to leave San Siro during the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman will be entering the final year of his Milan contract at the start of the 2025-26 season, and without negotiating an extension, the Rossoneri risk losing him for free if they do not complete a sale this summer.

The 26-year-old had been subject of interest from Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal, who had been willing to offer Milan a fee in the region of €30m and a lucrative contract offer of around €18m per season to the player, but Theo has since turned that offer down.

Reports claim that he is holding out on an appropriate offer from a European club instead.

Atletico and Milan moving closer to Theo Hernandez agreement

Reports from Gianluca Di Marzio claim that Atletico Madrid have recently increased their offer to Milan from €15m to a fee closer to the €20m mark.

Thursday’s update claims that the two clubs are now moving closer to sealing an agreement for Theo’s transfer.

Reports earlier in the week claim that Atleti already have an informal agreement on personal terms with the Rossoneri left-back.
