Amid the transfer rumors surrounding his future, Muñoz addressed the issue while on international duty with the Colombian national team.
“There’s a lot of talk about different clubs,” Muñoz said (h/t Foot Mercato). “Playing for one of them would be a dream, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United. I’m working hard to make it happen. I give my all every day to maybe catch their attention.
“For now, I’m focused on my club, on my performances at Crystal Palace. I’m not really aware of the rumors. I have no information about any potential interest from these teams. We’ll see as the winter transfer window approaches. At the moment, I’m fully focused on my two matches with the national team.”
On top of that, Fichajes reported that Chelsea and Manchester City have also joined the hunt for the defender. The outlet reports that talks are still informal, though interest in a formal offer is growing as the winter transfer window nears.
Mundo Deportivo previously noted that Barcelona see a potential deal for Muñoz around €30 million. Any move will depend on Muñoz’s stance, Crystal Palace’s willingness to negotiate, and each club’s ability to present an attractive proposal.
The Colombian defender is contracted with Crystal Palace through 2028. He was also part of the squad that lifted the FA Cup last season, giving the Premier League club room to set a fee they find suitable.
