Barcelona receive Marcus Rashford injury boost ahead of Chelsea game

Marcus Rashford is approaching the middle point of his loan spell at Barcelona, having officially joined the LaLiga giants in the summer from Manchester United.

So far in his loan spell in Spain, the left-sided winger had faced difficulty registering for Barcelona before being officially registered for the side prior to the season starting.

Following his registration, the English international has scored twice for Barcelona in LaLiga whilst also assisting six goals in the 12 games that he has appeared in.

Meanwhile, away from the field, Rashford has agreed to change his salary in a bid to secure a permanent move to Barcelona next summer.

Furthermore, Barcelona are working on an agreement to secure the 28-year-old’s services permanently from next season.

However, during his time at the LaLiga giants, Marcus Rashford has been hindered by injuries with the latest of these causing the left-sided winger to miss Barcelona’s first goal at the Camp Nou since its major renovation.

Now, the LaLiga outfit have received a key injury update on the 28-year-old ahead of their game against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League in the coming days.

According to GOAL, Marcus Rashford returned to full-time training on Sunday following an absence from training on Thursday and Friday which caused the English international to miss Saturday’s proceedings at the Camp Nou.

With Rashford returning to training on Sunday, the chances of him returning to the squad for the Chelsea game in the coming days can be said to be increased.

Furthermore, with four goals in UEFA Champions League, his presence could be pivotal to Barcelona climbing up the league table and gaining qualification for the last 16 next year.

But, with no official announcement made yet, attention could turn to see if Rashford is included in the travelling squad.
