Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that Barcelona have recently added Lucas Chevalier to their shortlist of goalkeeper targets. Sporting director Deco is actively searching for a new No. 1, and Chevalier has emerged as a serious candidate.
Still, Barcelona will need to be strategic to make a deal work financially, which could mean offloading one or two players to free up funds. Lille are reportedly seeking between €35 million and €40 million (around £33.5 million or $45.5 million), a price tag currently beyond Barcelona’s budget.
Chevalier, one of the standout keepers in Ligue 1, is said to be open to a move if a “serious offer from Spain” arrives—most likely from Barcelona. That, however, hinges on whether Deco can generate the money needed to make a formal offer.
