Real Betis have reportedly reached an agreement to sell Chadi Riad to Crystal Palace, after an excellent debut season in senior football from the Moroccan international.

Riad, 21, has been a regular for Manuel Pellegrini since the start of the season, and has caught the eye of a number of teams this season. Betis had an option to make his loan deal permanent for just €3m this summer, and Barcelona also possessed a buyback option for €7.5m, but were unable to activate it until next summer.

Betis have decided to cash in on Riad, and have agreed to a €14m fee with Palace, of which Barcelona will receive €7m, taking their total benefit to €10m. Meanwhile Betis are already moving to replace the young defender.

As Diario AS point out, this is a fourth deal between Betis and John Textor-owned teams, after Luiz Henrique moved to Botafogo from Betis last summer, Paul Akouokou headed to Lyon and Abner Vinicius is due to follow him this summer too. Including the Riad deal, it will take the total of fees taken in by Betis to €40m in the last 12 months.
