Marco Baroni is set to sign a two-year contract as the new coach of Torino, with option for a third, after leaving Lazio.
The Granata decided to part company with Paolo Vanoli after just one season together, where they finished 11th in the Serie A table.
Although there were a few candidates to replace him, Toro quickly zeroed in on the 61-year-old, who also lasted just one season at Lazio.
A key meeting is set for this evening in Milan between Baroni and President Urbano Cairo, where the final details will be worked out, and a contract should be signed this week.
It is going to be a two-year deal with an option for a third season on top of that.
Baroni steered Lazio to seventh place in the Serie A table, although until the last couple of rounds they had been in the hunt for a top four finish.
