Benjamin Sesko has endured a tough spell at Manchester United since joining from RB Leipzig.

The Slovenian has become the main man for Ruben Amorim’s side, replacing the outgoing Rasmus Hojlund and relegating Joshua Zirkzee to the bench.

In the game against Tottenham Hotspur, the 22-year-old missed two good chances for the away side, which could have potentially won United the game, after Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring.

During the game, the Slovenian appeared to twist his knee awkwardly during a challenge late in the game.

Sesko immediately signalled to the bench that something was wrong, clutching his knee in visible discomfort before receiving treatment on the pitch.

With all substitutions already used, Manchester United were forced to finish the match with ten men.

According to Sam C on GiveMeSport, the Slovenian striker is scheduled to undergo a medical scan today, which will determine the extent of the damage.

Until then, Manchester United are maintaining a cautious approach, refraining from any early conclusions.

The injury scare arrives at a crucial point in Sesko’s season as he continues to adapt to life at Old Trafford following his summer transfer.

He has shown glimpses of his potential with his combination of power, intelligent movement, and sharp finishing.

After the game, manager Ruben Amorim admitted that Sesko’s injury was a concern but urged calm, saying, “He felt something in his knee and didn’t feel comfortable continuing. We’ll have to wait for the scan to know more.”

Despite the worry, sources within the club have indicated that early signs are encouraging, with no immediate indication of serious damage.

Manchester United will await the scan results before releasing an official statement regarding his condition.

For now, Sesko is believed to be optimistic and focused on recovery, hoping the issue proves to be only minor.

The Slovenia international joined Manchester United from RB Leipzig in a £74 million deal, including add-ons, during the summer transfer window.

So far this season, he has scored two goals in six Premier League starts and has featured as a substitute in five additional league matches.

United will be hoping that the striker’s injury is only a short-term concern, with crucial fixtures on the horizon and Sesko gradually finding his rhythm in English football.
