Best Manchester United wonderkids in Football Manager 2027

The new Football Manager game is out, giving Manchester United fans a chance to better Michael Carrick’s early-season efforts as their own head coach in the game.

From sacking Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s appointments in Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox to signing any player in the world, gamers are presented with all possibilities.

Website FM Scout have released their guide to Football Manager 27’s best wonderkids – here are the best ones currently contracted to Manchester United who you could coach to stardom.

Pushing first-teamers

On FM Scout’s list of best wonderkids, a crop of current players in-and-around Manchester United’s first-team have been included.

20-year-old centre-back Ayden Heaven is listed as the games’ sixth-best wonderkid defender, with potential of an overall of 160-169 out of 200.

As well as Heaven, Leny Yoro, Harry Amass and Shea Lacey are all players who could immediately come into your side and look to become some of the best in their position in the world.

Future call-ups

Defender recently signed from Southampton, Harley Emsden-James, is listed as a wonderkid defender on the game. The 17-year-old could be loaned out, with a view to return in the 2027/28 season and reach the top of his game.

As well as Emsden-James, Noah Ajayi, Jim Thwaites, Amir Ibragimov, Bendito Mantato, David Eze and Jayden Ngwashi are all also on the list, with Manchester United one of the clubs with the best youth academies in the game, just like in the 2026 edition.

In Football Manager 2027, United boast superb youth facilities, and an excellent youth academy, as well as excellent youth recruitment – all crucial traits to have.

Taking charge of the Red Devils leaves you with many opportunities, and replacing from within with great young prospects is a hugely exciting way to play the game.

One thing’s for sure, taking charge of United has to be better than real life, with the Red Devils close to the relegation zone after nine matches.
