The future of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool remains in doubt, and a recent update offers clues as to what fate may hold for the Egyptian winger.

The situation between Salah, 33, and his coach Arne Slot remains unresolved, with multiple rumors swirling around the future of the Reds' number 11.

After the 3-3 draw against Leeds United on Dec. 6, the player broke his silence and was forceful. "I can’t believe it, I’m very disappointed. I’ve done so much for this club; everyone can see that over the years, especially last season. To be on the bench, I don’t know why. I feel like the club is throwing me under the bus. That’s how I feel," he said.

“I said many times before that I have a good relationship with the manager; suddenly, we don’t have a relationship. I don’t know why. It’s not acceptable to me, to be honest. I don’t know why it always happens to me,” Salah added.

Big Update On Mo Salah's Liverpool Future

Amidst this controversy, Fabrizio Romano has given an update, and the journalist specializing in transfer windows does not rule out a departure of the Egyptian to Saudi Arabia.

"I would say not over 50%. It's a serious possibility. It's not something guaranteed to say that Mo Salah already played his last game for Liverpool. If something is going to happen, it's going to be with Saudi," Romano said.

"There is the AFCON, and the market in January is going to be super fast," he added, before confirming that the relationship between Salah and Slot is far from being fixed.

"The relationship with Arne Slot is really complicated. I would say broken. And so, obviously, Mo Salah's agent will start to explore the market from the January transfer window," Romano claimed.

The aforementioned journalist indicated that Liverpool will not stand idly by and, in the event they have to say goodbye to the Egyptian, they will try to extract significant financial compensation. That is why Saudi Arabia gains relevance.

"On Liverpool's side, they say, perfect, you want to do your public statements, you want to say what you said, but bring us some proposal if you want to go. So, there is a chance."
