Arsenal are among several clubs interested in signing Michael Olise from Bayern Munich, with the Gunners having admired the attacker since his time in English football. However, securing his signature could prove difficult if he decides to leave the German champions.

During his spell at Crystal Palace, Olise demonstrated his ability to become one of the most exciting players in world football. Despite attracting interest from Arsenal and other leading Premier League clubs, he eventually moved to Bayern Munich, where his performances have continued to improve.

The Frenchman has since established himself as one of the standout players in Europe, showcasing his technical quality, creativity and ability to influence matches. His impressive displays have also placed him among the players being discussed in connection with this year’s Ballon d’Or award.

Arsenal face competition for Olise

Olise has developed into a player capable of making a difference at the highest level, and Arsenal are increasingly focused on attracting elite talent as they seek to maintain their position among the Premier League’s leading clubs and compete for major European honours.

His ability to create chances, beat defenders and contribute goals would make him an attractive addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad. Nevertheless, Arsenal could face significant competition if Bayern become willing to negotiate his departure.

Bayern are reportedly experiencing difficulties in their efforts to secure Olise’s commitment to a new contract, potentially creating uncertainty over his long-term future. However, Caught Offside reports that Arsenal may not be his preferred destination should he decide to leave Germany.

Real Madrid could be his preferred destination

According to the report, Olise would prefer a move to Spain rather than a return to the Premier League, with Real Madrid emerging as his favoured destination.

That development would represent a potential setback for Arsenal, who could struggle to convince the attacker to return to English football if his preference is to join the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid reportedly attempted to sign Olise last summer, but Bayern were unwilling to sell and did not seriously entertain their approach.

With the German club determined to retain an important player, any future transfer could depend on contract negotiations and the player’s own ambitions. Arsenal may continue to admire Olise, but his reported preference for Real Madrid could make their pursuit considerably more complicated.
