It has been a tough recent spell for Bologna.

Their 3-2 win against Hellas Verona yesterday ended a streak of seven straight games without a win.

From November 22nd until yesterday, they had drawn three and lost four.

This run of form came after winning six games and drawing four in the 10 that came before, including a 2-0 home win against reigning champions Napoli.

Bologna currently lie in eighth place and their game against 18th place Fiorentina presents a great opportunity to build some momentum in Serie A.

They have now added a player to their ranks as they hope to climb up the league table.

On Bologna’s official website, they have announced the official signing of Norwegian centre-back Eivind Helland.

Helland joins Bologna from SK Brann after making 64 appearances for their first team.

Helland becomes the second Norwegian to ever play for the club, and has been praised for his physicality and ability to play with the ball at his feet.

He earned his first cap for the Norway national team back in October and a move to Serie A is a massive step in the career of Helland.

Of course, this should not rule out any future move from United for Eivind Helland, given the size of both clubs.

The announcement comes just six months on from United sending over scouts to watch him play.

After all, they were still able to attract the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbuemo and Benjamin Sesko this summer.

This was despite a 15th place finish in the Premier League last season and no European football achieved under Ruben Amorim.

Despite their struggles this season, they are still being linked to top talent.

This includes Elliot Anderson, who is also wanted by Manchester City.
