Carlos Baleba could form a central part of Manchester United’s midfield change this summer as the club looks to strengthen ahead of next season.
With Casemiro leaving the club at the end of this season, and with this stance unlikely to change currently, United could turn their attention towards other targets in midfield including Baleba.
Adam Wharton is another midfielder favoured by the Red Devils currently, with the chances of a potential move further improved following the news that he is set to leave Crystal Palace this summer.
Sandro Tonali is also seen favourably by Manchester United but interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid could make a potential move more difficult than moves for alternative targets.
Now, the chances of Manchester United being able to sign Carlos Baleba have increased with SunSport revealing that Brighton and Hove Albion have reduced their asking price from £100 million.
The outlet also revealed that Brighton’s stance on not changing their midfield has softened, further fuelling the speculation surrounding a move for Baleba to Old Trafford.
SunSport also stated that sources within Brighton view this as the ideal time to let go of the Cameroon international.
These reports could aid Manchester United as they look to complete the signing of a midfielder, possibly Baleba, this summer.
The midfielder had previously broken his silence on a move away from Brighton with him urging that he was focussed on football and did not want to let claims negatively affect him.
But, the summer is approaching and is now just two months away meaning that noise will continue to increase potentially putting more pressure on the Cameroon international.
Attention now may switch towards Carlos Baleba for see how he navigates the latest rumours of a move away from Brighton.
