Brighton defender Joel Veltman says he enjoyed victory over Crystal Palace.

The Seagulls won 1-0 via Solly March's goal.

Veltman said, "It was a battle tonight but I love it.

"We could have done better in the first 15 or 20 minutes and were lucky to stay at 0-0. We came back strong and managed to score. It was always going to be pressure at the end but we held on.

"We have games every three days now after the international break. We want to keep clear minds going into that break and then go again in April."

On handling Wilfried Zaha, he added: "He's an amazing player so you have to be on your front toes to beat him. It's the first time I've won man of the match so I'm very happy."

On Sunday's FA Cup tie with Grimsby, Veltman said: "It's a big opportunity in the cup. We don't care who we are playing, we want to get to Wembley."
