Happy birthday to homeward bound Kieran Tierney. The Bhoy oozes class and what’s even better is that he is one of our own. It’s great to have him coming back to play for Celtic just as he hits his peak years…

Many Happy Returns to the incoming Kieran Tierney who yesterday turned 28. Kieran of course is still to be officially revealed by the club, but it’s no secret that he will start the campaign in the green and white hoops of his beloved Celtic.

Kieran was a superb player in his first spell and is one of the greatest players to have come through the Celtic youth ranks. His time in England playing at the very top level with Arsenal not just domestically but in Europe will have undoubtedly made him an even better player.

And while Kieran was underused by Arsenal in the season just ended, that’s going to be to a huge bonus for Celtic for a player who perhaps was pushed too far in his time at Celtic and early years in the red and white of Arsenal.

That’s allowed Tierney’s body the time to recover and Celtic should quickly see the dividends from that in the upcoming campaign.

They say a player hits his peak years around 28, so the best years of Kieran’s career will be at Celtic and that can only of be great benefit of ourselves as he’s going to be an even more improved version of the KT we all knew and loved during his first spell.

We’ve still to add a few new additions to our squad and if they are as half as good as KT then we will have knocked it off. Many happy returns Kieran and welcome home.
