Bruno Fernandes is one of the main leaders at Manchester United currently.
As captain of the club, Fernandes represents United in official matters such as in PFA meetings.
One example of this can be seen in the PFA meeting surrounding new financial frameworks for the Premier League, which Fernandes was invited to.
Meanwhile, as a midfielder, the Portuguese international also forms a key part of the spine in the squad and starting eleven.
As well as this, whilst he is a part of the spine, he also contributes goals with him reaching the milestone of one hundred goals earlier this season against Chelsea.
However, on Sunday against Aston Villa, Fernandes suffered an injury with him forced off at half-time.
For United, this injury means that the side will be without their captain which could affect the side in the upcoming hectic festive schedule.
Now, an update has confirmed how long he will be out for.
According to the Telegraph, Bruno Fernandes could be missing for up to a month with his injury.
Speaking about the injury, Amorim stated: “It’s an injury and sometimes it’s bad luck or something else at the same time. You can never control these things.”
With Fernandes rarely missing matches due to injuries, fans may be exposed to how the Red Devils play consistently without the Portuguese international for the first time.
But, for Amorim’s side, arguably, the midfielder’s injury will allow players opportunities to prove themselves to fans and pundits alike.
Now, with Fernandes out for up to a month, attention could turn towards Amorim to see if he provides further updates about a specific date Bruno Fernandes could return from his injury.
However, in the meantime, attention could turn towards United to see how they set-up against Newcastle United.
