Bukayo Saka to Make Important Arsenal Decision: Report
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Arsenal right winger Bukayo Saka is nearing a contract extension with the London club.

According to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old England international is ready to tie his future to the Gunners. His current contract expires in 2027.

French outlet RMC Sport claims that Saka will put pen to paper on a new deal that will extend him to 2030. A fresh contract could be finalized before the new year.

Saka made his senior debut for Arsenal in Nov. 2018. This season, he has scored six goals through 14 matches in all competitions.

The Ealing native has collected 77 career goals in 281 total appearances for the Gunners. He came off the bench in last Sunday's 2-0 victory against Albania.

England won all eight qualifying matches and completed Group K without conceding a single goal. England head coach Thomas Tuchel will count on Saka as a key member of his squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Saka debuted for the English national team in Oct. 2020 against Wales. He has since made 48 appearances for England, scoring 14 goals.

Arsenal has already signed William Saliba and Gabriel to new deals. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard both have deals that are set to expire in 2027.

Arsenal enter the weekend as Premier League leaders with 26 points gained through 11 matches played. Manchester City is chasing the Gunners close behind, having secured 22 points. Arsenal cannot afford to let Man City close the gap and must take maximum points against a familiar rival.

On Sunday, Arsenal will face Tottenham in the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium. The match will kick off at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time. It will be aired on Peacock Premium and YouTube TV.
