Alessandro Buongiorno reveals the differences Napoli are finding now they have the Champions League to contend with, while Michel Aebischer outlines the main Pisa problem.

It kicks off at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens on the Liveblog.

The match will be shown live on TNT Sports 1 and DAZN in the UK and Ireland. Fans in the USA can watch it on Paramount+.

It is a chance for Napoli to go clear at the top of the Serie A table as the only side with a 100 per cent record in the opening four rounds.

Napoli have more to deal with this season

“We must try to take it one game at a time, and this is a big opportunity, so we will give our all,” Buongiorno told DAZN.

Napoli won the Scudetto last term, but had the advantage of not being in UEFA competition and suffering an early Coppa Italia exit.

With all that in mind, how are they experiencing the differences of working with Antonio Conte when Europe is also a factor?

“There are many videos to watch, as we have to lower the physical training intensity when there are two matches, so we focus more on the tactical aspects.”

It is the first time they’ve had that midweek test, losing 2-0 to Manchester City in the Champions League.

Pisa were promoted to Serie A for the first time in over 30 years, but are still without a win so far this season, managing one point from three rounds.

“We must defend well, as Napoli have quality all over the pitch, but also have the courage to try something on the ball, press them off it, and play our game,” Aebischer told DAZN.

“I think we’ve had good performances so far, we are lacking something in the finish, but we created the chances. We also showed against Atalanta and Roma that we can defend well, but need to score more goals.”
