Italy international Riccardo Calafiori lifted a historic Premier League trophy for Arsenal on Sunday, but also celebrated Roma’s qualification for the Champions League on social media.
Sunday was a special day for Italian defender Calafiori, who lifted the Premier League trophy with Arsenal, the first one for the Gunners in 22 years.
The 24-year-old contributed to Arsenal’s title win with one goal and two assists in 26 league appearances.
Arsenal lifted the trophy after an away 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on Sunday, and Calafiori had another reason to celebrate a few hours after the Gunners’ match.
The former Roma defender, in fact, commemorated Roma’s Champions League qualification on Instagram.
Calafiori reposted Roma’s social media update announcing their victory against Verona, adding a classic Roman dialect comment: ‘Daje,’ which basically means ‘Come on!’
Roma have not played in the Champions League since 2018-19, and their 2-0 win over Verona on Sunday allowed them to finish the 2025-26 season, the first one under Gian Piero Gasperini, in third.
