Former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has officially left his managerial role.
This comes after his club confirmed his departure following the expiration of his contract.
The Argentine only took charge midway through last year but managed to guide the side through a difficult period despite significant instability behind the scenes.
Now, a new chapter is beginning.
According to the official statement released by Club Atletico Talleres, Tevez and his coaching staff have departed following the end of his current deal with the club.
The statement praised Tevez for his ‘institutional commitment, personality and work capacity’ during his spell in charge.
It also confirmed that the board has already started the search for a new manager.
Tevez initially arrived at the club before the beginning of the 2025 Clausura campaign after being given the manager role last summer, although his position was formally titled technical director.
He helped stabilise performances during a difficult sporting period.
During the 2026 Apertura Tournament, his side collected 26 points and remained in contention for a possible return to international competition next season.
The former Manchester United forward has remained a major figure in football headlines recently despite moving into management.
FOX Sports recently appointed Tevez’s former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand to a new role ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The ex-defender is set to appear alongside James Corden on a late-night tournament programme.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for life after Casemiro.
The 34-year-old confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season following a strong end to the campaign under interim manager Michael Carrick.
Carlos Tevez enjoyed a successful playing spell at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009.
He won two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League under Sir Alex Ferguson before later making the controversial move to Manchester City.
