Celtic have been tipped to complete the signing of Michel-Ange Balikwisha from Royal Antwerp. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Celtic over the last few transfer windows but no deal has been forthcoming.

According to Footy Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Celtic are expected to revisit their interest in the player and could secure him on a £5m deal.

The wide player has scored 29 goals and 14 assists in 141 appearances for Antwerp, including performances in the UEFA Champions League. Balikwisha plays predominantly on the left but can also feature on the right, too.

The interest in wingers suggests that Celtic may look to deploy Daizen Maeda in the central role moving forward, a position in which the Japanese attacker excelled, propelling himself to become PFA Scotland POTY and Celtic’s POTY.

Celtic are braced for offers for German attacker Nicolas Kühn, who has been linked with a move to RB Leipzig. Although, the club will be looking to add attacking flair to the team with Benjamin Nygren set to arrive too.

The Scottish Champions have already secured the signing of Kieran Tierney, who returns from Arsenal. The 28-year-old signed a five-year deal after rejected Seville, Bayer Leverkusen and Everton to make a sensational return to Paradise. Another player making the return to Celtic is goalkeeper Ross Doohan, who will join Celtic as a free agent.

Brendan’s side are also close to completing a duo of attacking signings in Nygren and Callum Osmond, the youth attacker from Fulham.
