Let’s start today as we left off last Sunday at Hampden. Our recent record against the Bairns should give us great optimism for Celtic to collect the three points then sit back and watch events tomorrow as the pressure mounts on Hearts and the Rangers…

Later this evening we will host Falkirk in Paradise, in what will be the first of five vital league fixtures as the title run in starts to get serious. So it without saying that we need to win the game and claim all three points on offer, and put in a good performance as an added bonus.

The way in which we finished the Scottish Cup semi-final win over St Mirren, should be our benchmark, as it gave us some much needed confidence and belief in our quality, especially when it comes to putting the ball into the back of the net.

We were shockingly poor in patches against the Buddies at the National stadium, and not for the first time this campaign, but we somehow showed great character and ability to blow the Paisley side away by scoring four times in just six minutes as we kept our hopes of a domestic double well and truly alive.

We’ve already beaten the Bairns on four occasions this campaign, and only once did they run us close, that being a slender solitary goal win at the Falkirk Stadium.

In the three other clashes we ran out comprehensive winners, with all of those fixtures of coming at Celtic park, twice on league duty and once in the Premier Sports league cup, and we amassed a collective total of ten goals conceding just once.

The stats are certainly in our favour, and will give us some added confidence heading into the game. And whilst the Bairns have impressed this campaign and fully deserve their top six status, they’ve faltered rather badly in the last couple of weeks, after being humbled at home by the Rangers, and followed that up by crashing to a shock defeat at the hands of Championship side Dunfermline in last weekends Scottish Cup Semi Final.

John McGlynn’s side have also lost a few key players to injury, so it’s up to us to take full advantage. If we show that same hunger and desire that we witnessed at Hampden, then I’m confident we can win, and win comfortably.

And remember it a day for standing up for the Champions and to make some Noise for the Bhoys!

You really must believe us…Enjoy the game folks.
