Chelsea have appeared to avoid any FA sanctions as well as from the Premier League as both investigations set to conclude.

Yesterday we heard about the Premier League reaching their conclusions over the investigations on Chelsea’s historical transfer dealings. They got off with a fine and an academy transfer ban, which was not bad at all in the circumstances.

But we kept hearing that the FA were still doing their own investigation, so Chelsea were not out of the woods yet.

However, it now looks like they may have got the conclusion of that investigation as well, and they are now out of the woods entirely as the FA follow suit of the Premier League.

Chelsea get out of muddy waters

According to an exclusive report from The Times last night, Chelsea are set to escape any form of sporting sanction for making illicit payments to agents and intermediaries as well as players, with the FA preparing to follow the Premier League in limiting the punishment to a heavy fine for the 74 alleged rule breaches.

Well, they will still get another fine then, but at the end of the day, it all could have been much much worse for Chelsea. So we cannot complain there.

Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry were on Monday Night Football, and they completely took apart Chelsea’s efforts to defend on Saturday.

Two Chelsea players had poor games against Newcastle, and it’s clear that one of them needs to be dropped.
