This is the Chelsea confirmed lineup for their Premier League clash with Liverpool on May 4. With the Reds confirmed as champions, they could take the foot off the gas here with little to play for, which would open the door for Enzo Maresca’s side to get their foot in the door for a Champions League place in the insanely tight race for Europe.
Rob Sanchez starts in goal with a back line of Marc Cucurella, Trevoh Chalobah, Levi Colwill, and Moises Caicedo. Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez are the deeper midfielders. Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto are the wingers while Nicolas Jackson is up front with Cole Palmer supporting him through the middle.
The bench has reinforcement like Malo Gusto, Jadon Sancho, Tyrique George, and Reece James. Although Christopher Nkunku is out of the squad entirely once again, either from injury or being out of favour.
There’s not much of a change from the lineup that beat Everton, what will be interesting is the wingers as Madueke and Neto swapped wings last time with the former looking very dangerous on his unusual spot form the left. Whether the manager opts to keep them in their more familiar roles up against Liverpool’s excellent full backs will be a big question.
Some of the other players were expected to start after being rested or taken off at half-time against Djugardens, the team almost writes itself when you consider who played extensive minutes on Thursday.
Alisson,Endo, Van Dijk, Salah, Jones, Gakpo, Elliott, Jota, Tsimikas, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah
Stay tuned for the Chelsea confirmed lineup. There will be news as well as discissuiosn on who started, who was dropped, and what tweaks we could see from the manager.
