Malo Gusto has declared he wants to be the best right back in the world, and is making moves towards it every day.

Malo Gusto has had another important season at Chelsea, playing regularly in a number of positions.

He’s gradually increased his influence ever since arriving at the club, with plenty of games available as the injury-prone Reece James’ backup.

In an interview with the club’s official website today, he spoke about how he wanted to be the world’s best in his position.

Gusto aims to be the world’s best in his favoured position

“I’m playing to become the best player in my position, the best right-back in the world,” Gusto said.

“If you’re playing football just to be a good player, it’s because you don’t have a lot of ambition. I joined Chelsea and I want even more in terms of performance. It’s just the beginning.”

He’s got some way to go to be the best right back in the world. In fact, he’s not even the best right back at Chelsea.

But his versatility is very impressive, and his ability to play in multiple positions

Chelsea made the second most they’ve ever made in revenue in the last financial year, a healthy £490.4m.

Two additions which will be included in those accounts are those of Emmanuel Emegha and Geovany Quenda, both of whom were signed last year with a view to arriving this summer.
