Geovany Quenda has had a long period at Chelsea recovering from a foot injury, but is now almost ready for a return to action.
Sporting singer Geovany Quenda is coming to Chelsea as a permanent singing in just a couple of weeks, but first he’s got some unfinished business in Portugal.
The winger has been at Cobham for almost 3 months now recovering from surgery on a good injury. It’s a shame he’s missed so many potential minutes for Sporting, but it’s given him a head start on adapting to life in England and at Chelsea.
Now, according to Bobby Vincent of Football.London, Quenda is heading back to Portugal to take on the run in with the Lions. He should be close to match fit, and is apparently hoping to be available for two legs of the Champions League quarter final against Arsenal.
His 1273 minutes this season are solid, but could have been so much more without this pesky injury. He has 13 G/A in 22 appearances for Sporting this season.

Selling Enzo for £80m would mean minimal book loss for Chelsea, but would say a lot more about their ambitions.
Roberto De Zerbi was always being linked with Chelsea, but is now going to Spurs. We’re very curious how that will work out…
