Chelsea fans will love who the club is transfer listing next

Chelsea have already made a few major additions to their squad for the 2025/26 season, which will mark their return to the Champions League after Enzo Maresca, a resurgent Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in midfield, and, of course, superstar Cole Palmer helped lead the Blues to a top-five finish in the Premier League – and a Conference League title, to boot.

The Blues have signed Dario Essugo to help anchor the midfield as a key backup, Liam Delap to compete with Nicolas Jackson at striker, and Estevao Willian (deal agreed last year) to add even more dynamism on the wings.

As Chelsea mull over more signings like a new left winger and perhaps another striker to go with Delap, Chelsea also have to think about which players they want to sell this summer, too.

There are a number of candidates, and although Chelsea already gave up on wingers Jadon Sancho and Joao Felix after their failed signings last summer, it looks like the Blues are ready to sell another talented winger this summer even as they look for more options to sign on the left like Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

Chelsea are giving up on a young talent

According to a report from The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, Chelsea are willing to listen to transfer offers for England international and right winger Noni Madueke, who made 27 starts for the club last season.

But Chelsea are looking to sign other wingers who have even more dynamism and dribbling production than Madueke, such as Bynoe-Gittens. And they are looking at other forwards like Joao Pedro and Mohammed Kudus.

Madueke is still very young at 23, but it’s clear to Chelsea and the club’s fans that he doesn’t have the technical quality or awareness to be a starter for an elite team. His 10 goal contributions in 32 appearances are below average for a starting forward at a club like Chelsea, and he actually had fewer goal contributions than defensive midfielder Enzo Fernandez at 13.

If Chelsea, per the language in Steinberg’s report, can get a “suitable” offer for the right winger, they may not hesitate to sell and parlay that money into signing a player they like more.

Chelsea already have an even better youngster

Maresca seems to favor Madueke more than others, but he’s failed to show the required consistency and end product of a Chelsea starting forward under multiple managers now.

He’s a decent player who could make a big impact at a mid-table Premier League team, but Chelsea need someone with more creativity, tactical intelligence, and upside than Madueke.

The thing is, Chelsea already have that special player in Palmeiras teenage sensation Estevao Willian, who is already lighting up the Club World Cup after destroying the Brazilian top flight.

Willian won a Man of the Match award against Champions League mainstays FC Porto in Palmeiras’s first match of the Club World Cup, and the left-footed Brazilian sensation is already a starter for his national team and clearly ready to usurp the now unwanted Madueke as the Chelsea right winger of choice.

Valued at 40 million euros by Transfermarkt, Madueke could fetch Chelsea the same fee that they will be spending on Bynoe-Gittens or another winger, and with the left uncertain and the right settled between Willian and another excellent left-footed Premier League starter in Pedro Neto, a Madeueke sale looks like a no-brainer for most Chelsea fans.
