Chelsea Injuries Today: Team News vs Nottingham Forest

Enzo Maresca has delivered his pre-match press conference and provided updates on a number of players. These are the Chelsea injuries today, for October 17, as they head into a key collision with Nottingham Forest, as they aim to make it three wins on the bounce. The international break did partially wreck that flow but it also gave some big names time to rest.

Chelsea Injuries Today – Every Update Ahead of Nottingham Forest Clash

Ruled Out

Long term absentees Dario Essugo, Liam Delap,  Mykhailo Mudryk, and Levi Colwill are all going to miss this one. The trio are expected to be unavailable for the foreseeable future with the latter nursing a torn ACL while Mudryk deals with an indefinite suspension.

In other news, Benoit Badiashile has been ruled out until December. The Frenchman has just returned from an injury suffered last season and was playing some of his best football. He limped off early against the Reds and is now set to miss even more time.

The worst update came on Cole Palmer. The star man has barely been able to play in this campaign after going down early with a groin injury. After missing a few matches and the recent England friendlies, he has now been sidelined for six more weeks, per Maresca’s press conference.

Doubts

Moises Caciedo has not trained recently with the manager casting some doubt on his status for the match. A session on Friday will be key to his chances of playing. The midfielder didn’t go away for international duty and was rested instead. Out of everyone, he is most likely to be risked even with a niggle.

Enzo Fernandez has also not trained. The Argentine was sent home after their first match of the break due to an issue with his knee. He will also be assessed during the final training session but in our estimation could be rested to protect him.

Pedro Net0 is the last question mark. He played a lot of minutes for Portugal over the break and put in two energetic performances, the winger could be granted a rest with some big matches coming up in the near future.
