Trevoh Chalobah has been stretchered off in agony at Stamford Bridge to turn a horrible night into an even more tragic one.

There was a sense that Chelsea’s night couldn’t get any more miserable than an 8-2 defeat to PSG at Stamford Bridge – but with 5 minutes to go Trevoh Chalobah was stretchered off to do just that.

The injury was so bad that TNT Sports didn’t even want to show a replay, they said it looked “very serious.”

The poor man looked in agony, and he’s not one to milk it. We just pray it’s not one that will have long term effects on him.

We will find out more from Liam Rosenior in the press conference after the game – although with an injury this serious, it might be a week or so until the full extent is known.

Chelsea sunk at centre back after latest injury

With Chalobah now potentially out for the season, Chelsea really are sunk. They’ve got an out of form Wesley Fofana. Mamadou Sarr was taken off after a mistake tonight. Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo are awful whenever they play a decent side.

We’ve got no confidence, no defenders, no good goalkeeper. We’re crashing out of the Champions League. Misery.

Liam Rosenior had switched his team to a back three for this game, but despite that they had conceded two goals in 15 minutes.
