Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Brighton in Premier League Action

How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently

Djordje Petrović remains the number one option in goal with Marc Cucurella, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, and Alfie Gilchrist featuring in a back four that was littered with absentees.

Moisés Caicedo and Conor Gallager are the defensive midfield partnership of choice. There has been little to no changes to the starting eleven in recent weeks which has allowed the front four of Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Nicolas Jackson to find some form and cohesion.

Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics

Mauricio Pochettino has remained steadfast in his use of the 4-2-3-1 system since being appointed. The recent tweak of inverting Cucurella from left-back has led to an uptick in for with his team unbeaten since the heavy loss to Arsenal and on a run of three wins on the bounce.

A run of two consecutive clean sheets was broken against Nottingham Forest with one of the team’s biggest issues rearing its head. Defensively, this is a side that concedes a lot of goals with the Gunners putting five past them just under one month ago. Thankfully, they have had their shooting boots on and netted 10 times in their last four outings.

Chelsea Injuries to Consider

Their previous fixture saw the Blues welcome back a number of players to the squad with names like Levi Ugochukwu and Reece James returning to the bench. Things are looking up for them despite still being without Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, and Enzo Fernández among others.

Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Brighton

This is an interesting one to predict, Pochettino finally has options to pick from after having a paper thing squad just a few matches ago. For some, it will be too early to start, but others should be ready to come back and make a difference.
