Chelsea set to hire guru who signed Mo Salah and Sadio Mane into senior role

Chelsea are set to hire a recruitment guru who oversaw the signings of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane at Liverpool.

It’s been the big news of the weekend really for Chelsea, and some news that Blues fans have been getting excited about hearing. I think they all would like to see a head sporting director arrive at the club, but I’m not sure at the moment whether this is going to be for that.

Chelsea are in talks to hire former Liverpool director Dave Fallows in what would be a superb move for the club in my opinion. Fallows has a good track record after being at Liverpool for 12 years and worked closely with Jurgen Klopp to build their successful side.

Oversaw some great captures

According to The Evening Standard , at Liverpool, Fallows oversaw the signings of several great players including Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson, among others.

When it was announced last year that Fallows was leaving Liverpool, the club stated that his contribution had been “fundamental” in helping to build the team that won the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 2019, as well as the 2020 Premier League title, two Carabao Cups and an FA Cup.

I hope he gets a true senior role

I want him to be in charge of football operations and recruitment at Chelsea and have the sporting directors under him. I want him Fallows to be making the big calls because I think Chelsea need this within their sporting structure right now. Let’s hope it transpires that way.
