Chelsea enters Tuesday's match against Bournemouth looking to rebound after a dramatic home defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday. The Blues sit just outside the top four in fifth place with 29 points collected through 18 league games.
Having won only once in their last five league outings, Chelsea cannot afford to continue letting points slip through their fingers in a tight race for the top four. Perhaps a meeting with struggling Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge can be the tonic to rejuvenate Enzo Maresca's side.
Bournemouth have been reeling of late and recently lost key midfielder Tyler Adams to a medial collateral ligament tear. The United States men's national team star is expected to miss two to three months of action.
The Cherries last recorded a win in late October. At the moment, Bournemouth is safe from the drop zone in 15th place. Should the losses continue to pile up, Andoni Iraola and his men could be dragged into a relegation fight.
Star winger Antoine Semenyo is in excellent form, having scored nine goals in 17 league appearances. He is expected to sign for Manchester City once the January transfer window opens.
Tuesday's match will kick off at 7.30 p.m. UK time / 2.30 p.m. ET / 11.30 a.m. PT.
It will be available to watch across various platforms, on television and streaming. In the United States, it will be shown on USA Network.
Chelsea Predicted Starting XI
Left-back Marc Cucurella could miss out due to a hamstring issue. Forward Mykhaylo Mudryk is suspended. Levi Colwill (cruciate ligament injury), Romeo Lavia (thigh injury) and Dario Essugo (thigh injury) are set to miss out.
Bournemouth Predicted Starting XI
Tyler Adams (medial collateral ligament tear), Veljko Milosavljevic (knee injury) and Ben Gannon Doak (hamstring injury) are unavailable for the Cherries.
