Chelsea face PSG in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge in just over an hour, and the teams are in!
It’s Chelsea PSG at Stamford Bridge, an interesting game to pick a team for. Liam Rosenior needs a win and a good performance at home, but he’s facing a strong side and is missing key players.
It looks like a back four, with Reece James and Malo Gusto’s absences meaning Trevoh Chalobah plays at right back. Wesley Fofana is also out – dropped or just rested after two games in a week? It’s not clear. He’s replaced by Mamadou Sarr. Jorrel Hato, usually a left back, plays at centre back with Sarr.
Marc Cucurella continues at left back. Andrey Santos is into the midfield to replace James alongside Moises Caicedo.
The front line has Pedro Neto and Cole Palmer flanking Joao Pedro, with Enzo Fernandez in the hole.
It’s just about the best Rosenior can do under the circumstances. Although we’d have kept Chalobah and Sarr central with Josh Acheampong at right back. At least that keeps players in their usual positions.
It’s nice to see Estevao on the bench – hopefully he gets some minutes later.
Here are the full team line-ups for Chelsea vs PSG (kick off at 20:00 GMT)
Axel Disasi hit back at some of his critics in an interview, pointing out that some people had been doubting whether he’d be able to get back to his best quickly after so long out.
