A blunder from Lucas Chevalier cost PSG a 1-0 loss against Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille on Monday, while Gigio Donnarumma received the Yashin Trophy amid applause from fans in Paris.
Donnarumma didn’t need to take revenge on his former club PSG, but somehow, this is what happened last night as his successor Chevalier crumbled under the spotlight in Le Classique.
Chevalier misjudged a routine cross, rushing off his line and failing to connect, allowing Nayef Aguerd to head in the winning goal after just five minutes.
On the same night, Donnarumma was living a moment of glory in Paris as he was handed the Yashin Trophy for the best goalkeeper of 2025, receiving applause from the fans in the French capital, where the Ballon d’Or ceremony was held, as reported by L’Equipe.
Donnarumma joined Manchester City on deadline day due to technical and financial reasons, but Chevalier’s start to life at PSG has been far from convincing.
During his speech from the stage last night, Donnarumma thanked PSG and Manchester City, but didn’t mention his former coach, Luis Enrique.
