Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini admits he can ‘dream’ of winning the Champions League, but must also keep ‘our feet on the ground’ against Borussia Dortmund.
It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

The Old Lady had the perfect start to their Serie A campaign, winning all three games including Saturday’s 4-3 thriller against Inter in this very stadium.
“We won against Inter and are very happy. I don’t think it takes much to rediscover enthusiasm, then it is up to us to take that energy and cultivate it, but also maintain a balance,” Chiellini told Sky Sport Italia.
“We did some things good, others less good, but the coach worked on it with clarity during the last few days of training. We are glad to see the fans enthusiastic, while we must keep our feet firmly on the ground.”
Does Chiellini dream of Juventus winning the Champions League after a 30-year gap?
“Of course everyone ought to dream big, so in my dreams yes, but the last time we played the quarter-final was in 2019. The objective must be to improve on last season and then see where we end up. If we get there, it will be nice to start dreaming.”
Chiellini knows Igor Tudor well, as he was both a teammate at Juventus and an assistant manager to Andrea Pirlo when the retired defender was still playing, so does that make the rapport easier now as a director?
“We know each other well and are used to discussing things. I am ready to help him in any moment he requires, but a lot of the credit for this start to the season goes to Tudor, because he brought great solidity and imposed his clear ideas on the group,” assured Chiellini.
There are some big changes to the starting XI and this might be due to the lack of defensive solidity in the thrilling but chaotic 4-3 win over Inter.
“He got very angry on Saturday at what we didn’t manage to do and therefore made changes, but we give Igor a lot of credit for his results so far this season.”
