'Clear our heads' – Chelsea player says international break 'will do us good'

Chelsea defender Mamadou Sarr believes that this current international break has come at the right time for them.

The Blues have lost their last four games on the trot and are well and truly in an awful run of form, even before those games. The performances haven’t been great, and the results have been even worse.

It’s led to pressure on manager Liam Rosenior already, and a lot of criticism from the Chelsea fan base directed towards the ownership once again. Blues fans are fuming, and I can’t even see them turning on that either.

But Sarr says this international break will allow the players a chance to clear their heads and go again when they return.

Sarr on the international break

In quotes picked up on X this week, Sarr said:

“I think the break will do us good, and when we resume training, we’ll clear our heads.

“Every footballer goes through moments like that (against PSG). The important thing is to pick yourself up and move on.

“I have no regrets about leaving Strasbourg, because I’ve arrived at a big club where you have to earn your place to play.”

Liam Rosenior has two weeks to try and come up with a solution to Chelsea’s huge problems. It may not be enough with four defeats in a row in his last four games and a lot of problems right now.

Josh Acheampong is apparently not for sale this summer – in that case, we should probably start playing him, right?
