Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has picked his best current Chelsea 5-a-side team, and there is certainly a bit of a surprise at the back.
Palmer has actually not even picked himself in this team, which is quite rare when players are asked to do these kinds of things.
His form has been off for a little while now, and some people have been doubting whether he should even be going to the World Cup this summer, let alone starting for Thomas Tuchel’s England side. I think he will go, but I don’t think he will start games from the off.
He needs to step his form back up and show the Cole Palmer that first arrived at Stamford Bridge from Manchester City – that player was heading towards world class levels. But this current Cole Palmer has really fell off a cliff. He’ll be back, I have no doubts.
Palmer is good friends with centre back Tosin Adarabioyo at Chelsea, and it looks like he has favoured his pal in his 5-a-side team picks, as you can see in the above image.
Palmer names his Chelsea’s 5-a-side team:
“My 5-a-side team would be Tosin, Reece, Lavia, because when he’s fit is the best ever, Joâo Pedro and Steve [Estevão].”
Como’s Jacobo Ramon is being linked with a number of top clubs, and Chelsea offer him a chance to start pretty quickly, putting them ahead of other possible options.
Mathis Eboue is a name we’re going to hear more and more about as he gets closer to the first team at Chelsea. And there is some Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo chatter.
