Manchester United’s midfield picture is beginning to open up as the new season approaches.
With a deal for Ederson confused, for the time being, the club have moved quickly towards alternative targets.
Andrey Santos completed a move to Old Trafford from Chelsea earlier this week whilst Youri Tielemans signed for the club soon after.
United are also still monitoring midfielder Angelo Stiller, who played for Stuttgart last season, according to German outfit BILD whilst also continually being linked to other midfielders.
Whilst some deals continue to be pushed to the foreground, others are completed in the background with limited public knowledge.
One deal that has been at the foreground through the course of the last ten months, however, is one that will see Cristian Orozco complete a move to Manchester United.
The Colombian midfielder formally agreed to join the Red Devils in October 2025 but his age at the time, 17, meant that the deal could not be completed.
Following a medical in the latter stages of June, though, a move appeared to be moving closer.
Journalist Steven Railston, via Manchester Evening News, has now reported that the midfielder completed his move to the club on Monday on his 18th birthday.
Railston also stated that Orozco could make his debut tomorrow afternoon in the club’s first pre-season fixture against Wrexham.
In what is turning into a busy week for transfers at Manchester United, another one now appears to be completed.
With him potentially in line for a debut tomorrow afternoon, supporters may get the chance to see the 18-year-old live in action for the first time as a Manchester United player.
For Cristian Orozco, on the other hand, signing for the club represents the start of a new era, one that he hope will be successful on the field.
