Como have announced that Crystal Palace, Famalicao, Villarreal, RC Lens and AlUla SC are all participating in the second edition of the Como Cup.
Cesc Fabregas and his men have been a revelation this season, securing their place in the Champions League for the first time in their history, just two years after promotion from Serie B.
They had already launched a pre-season tournament on the edges of the iconic lake and the second edition will have six teams competing.
It was today announced that Crystal Palace from England, Spain’s Villarreal, Portuguese side Famalicao, French team Racing Club de Lens, and Saudi Arabia’s AlUla SC will all be participating.
This tournament is part of the larger Football on the Lake summer project, bringing together football, culture and travel to the heart of Italy.
The first Como Cup involved Ajax, Celtic Al Ahli and the hosts.
The dates for the new competition have not yet been confirmed.
