After having been approached by clubs including Roma, Milan and Bayer Leverkusen, Cesc Fabregas is now reportedly ready to extend his contract at Como instead.

There had been numerous sides eager to secure his services this summer after an impressive campaign at the Stadio Sinigaglia, where he oversaw 13 victories, 10 draws and 15 defeats.

That included Roma, Milan and German team Bayer Leverkusen, but Como point blank refused to negotiate his exit.

Fabregas ready to extend at Como

Instead, Tuttomercatoweb assure that Como have presented a new deal that will include the promise of strong investment on the transfer market to improve the current squad, having already brought in a lot of talent in January.

The 38-year-old ended his playing career with Como in Serie B during the 2022-23 campaign, then went straight into management.

Fabregas was first with the Under-19 team, then bumped up to the senior squad in November 2023, working alongside Osian Roberts to secure their promotion to Serie A.

The club is backed by President Mirwan Suwarso and his Hartono company, who want to make Como into a football powerhouse.
