There is a “crazy race” for Nicolas Jackson with a number of top clubs interested in signing the striker according to Fabrizio Romano.

Jackson is set to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window, and has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer.

Enzo Maresca has confirmed the 24-year-old won’t be in the squad for Friday night’s game against West Ham, as they continue to try and a find a solution for his future.

Many top clubs interested in Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea are said to value Nicolas Jackson at around £80m, but there’s reportedly a belief amongst clubs that price can be negotiated down.

The Blues are said to be open to loaning Jackson, providing the terms of the deal are right, and it would likely include a big loan fee plus an obligation to buy.

Jackson isn’t short of suitors, and he’s attracting interest from a number of clubs including Newcastle, Aston Villa and Juventus.

Villa are reportedly pushing hard to sign Jackson, although no official offers have been made for the striker yet, and Romano has now provided an update.

“For Nicolas Jackson, there is a crazy race ongoing with many top clubs interested,” he told his YouTube channel.

“Several have called in recent hours. We have to consider Villa, they are pushing. Newcastle are still there! Strong interest from Bayern too.”

Chelsea still trying to sell Christopher Nkunku

Whilst a number of clubs are interested in Jackson, it’s not quite the same for Christopher Nkunku, who Chelsea are also looking to sell.

Both Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are interested in the Frenchman, but so far they’ve only shown interest in a loan deal.

Both Chelsea and Nkunku want a permanent transfer, with the Blues said to value the 27-year-old at £43m, and it will be interesting to see how this one plays out with the transfer window heading towards it’s conclusion.
