New signing Jamie Vardy will be given a spectacular presentation as a Cremonese player, as the club commandeered the iconic concert auditorium for the event.

Players are generally presented in the press hall of their stadium or training ground, but that would not be sufficient to mark the arrival of the Leicester City legend.

Instead, Cremonese have announced they will introduce the England international to the media at the Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi in Cremona.

Cremonese pull out all the stops for Vardy

This is an architectural gem, created for classical music with state of the art acoustic engineering.

The problem is that it only has 464 seats, so there will not be enough room for the fans to participate, and they will have to give him a special welcome outside the venue.

The presentation will be held on Wednesday September 10, starting at 15.30 local time.

Cremona is known as the City of Violins, because it is the home of the best artisan violin makers in Italy.

Vardy was first photographed wearing the Cremonese jersey in the Museum of the Violin.
