Cristian Orozco makes Manchester United debut

Cristian Orozco has reached another major milestone after completing his move into the Manchester United setup.

The Colombian midfielder previously made his senior football debut for Fortaleza CEIF in February.

Orozco entered that match in the 83rd minute and completed every pass he attempted during his short appearance.

That moment offered United supporters an early glimpse of the young player’s ability before his arrival in England.

Manchester United agreed a deal for Orozco last year, with the midfielder scheduled to formally link up with the club after turning 18.

He has now arrived from Colombia and immediately joined the club’s preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.

Another summer arrival, Enzo Kana-Biyik, made his United debut during Friday evening’s fixture.

Orozco soon followed him onto the pitch to record his first public appearance in Manchester United colours.

Cristian Orozco made his Manchester United debut for the Under-21s during their pre-season friendly against Altrincham.

According to Steven Railston through Manchester Evening News, the midfielder came off the bench Orozco had only recently arrived from Colombian side Fortaleza CEIF before featuring for United.

The appearance represents another important step for a player viewed as one of South America’s most promising young midfielders.

Orozco had already experienced senior football in Colombia before moving to Manchester.

During his Fortaleza debut earlier this year, he registered one shot and completed 100 per cent of his passes.

United will now help the teenager adapt to English football and life within the academy.

His first appearance came in the same match as Kana-Biyik’s debut, giving supporters the opportunity to watch two recent additions for the first time.

Orozco will hope to earn more minutes during pre-season as the academy prepares for the new campaign.
