Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have shared almost a decade together, with their relationship spanning several major chapters in the former Manchester United forward’s illustrious career.

From Madrid to Turin, Manchester and Saudi Arabia, Rodriguez has remained alongside the five-time Ballon d’Or winner while becoming an integral part of his family.

The couple have regularly offered glimpses into their life together, although they have generally kept their most significant personal decisions private.

Speculation surrounding a wedding intensified after Rodriguez announced their engagement in August 2025.

She displayed an enormous diamond ring on Instagram alongside the message: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,” but the couple did not publicly reveal when or where they intended to marry.

Ronaldo has now confirmed that he and Rodriguez are officially married through an understated post shared on Instagram.

The image showed their hands resting alongside one another, with both wearing gold wedding bands, while the Portuguese superstar captioned it simply: “C❤️G”.

It’s understood, the couple married in an intimate civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on Tuesday, 11th August.

Their five children were reportedly present as Ronaldo and Rodriguez marked the latest chapter of their long-standing relationship exactly one year after announcing their engagement.

Ronaldo first met Rodriguez in Madrid in 2016 while she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store.

Their relationship became public later that year before they made their first official appearance together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January 2017.

The couple welcomed their first daughter together, Alana Martina, in November 2017. Rodriguez also became a central figure in the lives of Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., and twins Eva and Mateo.

Rodriguez gave birth to daughter Bella Esmeralda in April 2022, although her twin brother, Ángel, tragically died during childbirth.

Their family life has since featured prominently in Rodriguez’s Netflix series, I Am Georgina, with Ronaldo previously admitting that he eventually realised she was the woman of his life.

Almost ten years after they first met, Ronaldo and Rodriguez have now formally sealed their relationship, choosing to announce the news with a simple photograph rather than an elaborate public statement.
