Manchester United supporters still closely follow the career of Cristiano Ronaldo and the veteran forward continues to produce remarkable numbers despite now being into his forties.
The Portuguese icon enjoyed another huge night in Saudi Arabia this week as Al Nassr strengthened their grip at the top of the Saudi Pro League table.
With the title race entering its closing weeks, Al Nassr moved five points clear of Al Hilal after a dramatic 4-2 victory over Al Shabab.
The game itself was heavily influenced by Joao Felix, who struck twice inside the opening 10 minutes to put Al Nassr in control early on.
Former Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco pulled one back before the break, but Cristiano Ronaldo eventually took centre stage once again in the second half.
The 41-year-old arrived at the near post to convert a cross from Sadio Mane, scoring what was his 100th league goal in Saudi Arabia and the 971st strike of his extraordinary senior career.
It also moved Ronaldo onto 26 league goals for the current campaign, continuing a remarkable run of consistency since arriving in the Middle East.
His league goal totals in Saudi Arabia have continued to rise season after season, beginning with 14 in 2022/23 before exploding to 35 in 2023/24.
He followed that with 25 league goals in 2024/25 and has already surpassed that tally again this season with 26.
Across all competitions, Ronaldo has now scored 127 goals for Al Nassr since joining the club following his Manchester United exit in late 2022.
Reports have also suggested the club are assessing whether Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. is ready to step up further within their development structure.
A final decision regarding his progression is reportedly expected at the end of the campaign following technical evaluations from the club.
The possibility of Ronaldo eventually sharing the pitch professionally with his son has become one of the biggest talking points surrounding the latter stages of his career.
Away from football, the former Manchester United forward also continues to dominate commercially, with Sportico ranking him third on its all-time highest earning athletes list with inflation-adjusted earnings of $2.52 billion.
Ronaldo may be approaching the end of his legendary career, but he continues to break records and dominate headlines across world football.
