Cristiano Ronaldo's First Post After Portugal Wins International Competition

Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up big time for Portugal to lead the team to its second Nations League trophy on Sunday.

With Portugal trailing Spain 2-1 after the first half, Ronaldo leveled things up in the 61st minute with a close-range shot that Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simon had no chance of stopping.

Nuno Mendes created the scoring opportunity for Portugal after attacking from the left wing. While his cross was deflected, Ronaldo put himself in the perfect spot as he was able to reach the ball right in front of the goal to deliver the equalizer.

Thanks to Ronaldo's goal, the match ended in a draw and went to a penalty shootout, which Portugal won 5-3.

Following the win, Ronaldo took to social media to commemorate the victory. On his Instagram, he posted several photos of himself and his Portugal teammates lifting the trophy and celebrating the win.

"É NOSSA!!!!!!" Ronaldo captioned the post, which translates to "It's ours." He also included a trophy emoji to highlight their victory.

The win marks Portugal's second title at the UEFA Nations League, having won the inaugural tournament back in 2019.

Sure enough, several fans congratulated and praised Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal for their victory in the international European football competition. Many took it to the comments section of the striker's post to react to the big win.

"The only one in the world. I want to see my idol," a commenter said of Ronaldo. Another one stated, "GOATTTT."

"kings," a supporter described Portugal. A follower remarked, "The best in world."

"I cried man I cried," an emotional social media user shared.

It remains to be seen what's next for Ronaldo. There has been speculation that he might join a team playing in the Club World Cup this June, but nothing is set in stone. Sure enough, however, he showed everyone that he can still impact winning.
