Ismaila Sarr has emerged as another intriguing name around Manchester United this summer.

Fresh movement has been taking place over the Crystal Palace star.

The 28-year-old is capable of playing as a winger or forward and has extensive experience in English football following spells with Watford and Palace.

He also enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, scoring 21 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions as Palace won the UEFA Conference League.

United’s interest is not entirely new either.

Manchester United made an enquiry for Sarr last month as Michael Carrick’s side considered further additions to their attacking options.

The Red Devils have since focused heavily on completing their midfield rebuild.

David Ornstein reported that United are closing in on Carlos Baleba, with the Brighton star expected to become their third midfield addition after Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.

If the deal is completed, attention could potentially shift elsewhere before the deadline, with a new left-back still considered important and another winger also capable of adding greater depth to Carrick’s squad.

Sarr’s situation has now become particularly interesting after Crystal Palace received an ‘official’ bid for the Senegal international.

However, that offer has not come from Manchester United.

Fabrizio Romano has reported on X that Galatasaray have submitted an ‘official’ bid to Crystal Palace for Sarr as they look to strengthen their options on the wing.

The player is understood to open to holding discussions with the Turkish giants.

However, Palace will ultimately decide whether the move progresses.

Sarr is regarded as an important player at Selhurst Park after helping the Eagles win both the FA Cup and the Conference League during his time at the club.

His strong form has naturally attracted interest, and the latest bid could now force Palace into a decision over his future.

For United, it remains to be seen whether their previous enquiry develops into anything more substantial if Sarr’s situation changes before the window closes.
