The new San Siro project, jointly developed by AC Milan and Inter, draws inspiration from Borussia Dortmund’s legendary ‘Yellow Wall.’
According to Gazzetta.it via FCInterNews, the iconic part of Signal Iduna Park serves as a model for the new design.
Indeed, the Milan clubs are moving forward with their ambition to build a new state-of-the-art stadium in the San Siro area.
Acquiring the land was only the first part.
It’s now up to the clubs and architects to finalize the plans and secure all the necessary approvals before construction can begin.
The planned design of the stands features a 37° incline, mirroring the current third tier of the San Siro and Dortmund’s famed Südtribüne.
Furthermore, the new design aims to combine iconic atmosphere with modern safety and comfort standards.
Therefore, the project intends to minimize spectator barriers to emphasize the identity of the famous Curvas.
Meanwhile, Inter and Milan have entrusted the project to renowned architecture firms Norman Foster and MANICA.
