Over the last six months, the media surrounding Victoria and David Beckham has been caught up in the family feud with estranged son Brooklyn Beckham.
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have distanced themselves from his parents, even serving legal notice to have space from them.
The issue arises from the claims of Victoria and David Beckham being “controlling” of their son, with the former Spice Girl being understood to have upset them both on their wedding day.
However, the Manchester United legend and fashion designer are now up against their neighbours rather than their son.
Hello magazine has reported that the pair are facing a formal objection to the planned redevelopments of their £12 million country house in Oxfordshire.
The pair bought the house on the Great Tew by Chipping Norton in 2016 for £6.5 million, however have since made a series of refurbishments to the property.
Already the property has a man-made lake, a football pitch, a sauna and a bee garden, however the Beckhams are looking to make further changes to their driveway for extra privacy.
Applications have been put in to planning to plant 79 trees on their land to create a wildflower meadow and woodland-style perimeter to the property.
The trees planned consist of 19 English oak, 15 small-leaved lime, 12 European beech, eight field maple, seven Scots pine, five common hazel, five sycamore maple, four holly, and four English yew
The new woodland would block the view of the property from the nearby road and passersby, however the plans have upset neighbours with one going so far as to file a formal objection to the plans.
