Multiple sources in Italy claim that Canada international Jonathan David has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus and is pushing for his agents to shake hands with the Bianconeri.
Canada international David wants to join Juventus as a free agent, multiple Italian sources claim.
Gazzetta, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report that David has reached a verbal agreement with the Bianconeri over a €6m-a-year contract plus add-ons.
David is under contract with Lille until the end of the current month, so he’s available as a free agent, and the Serie A giants don’t have to negotiate with his club.
Juventus, however, must reach an agreement with the striker’s entourage over agent fees, which is why the deal has not been completed yet.
Football Italia reported last week that the Bianconeri would schedule a new round of talks with the striker’s agents in the coming hours.
According to Gazzetta, David is pushing to move to Juventus and is urging his representatives to lower their demands to finalise the deal as soon as possible.
